MediaMonks is hiring a mid-level animator Monk to create motion graphics for a wide variety of projects, producing work for incredible, super-secret brands. The job is a mix of original work and creating equally awesome adaptations from existing styles and assets.

About the role:

While we are home due to COVID-19, being able to work onsite in LA in our Venice Beach office will be a requirement once our office re-opens.
As part of a dedicated client team, you’ll animate assets for social media and various interfaces and create/optimize templates for production that help our global animation team
The job is focused on 2D animation, motion graphics, and animated type, with small pockets of video editing.
Animations are a mix of original motion graphics work and creating equally awesome motion content based on existing assets provided to you.
As part of MediaMonks, you’ll be part of the most awesome production company on the planet, operating as ‘one office in 25 locations’ with an incredible in-house team of 3000 and counting.
This means you’ll be able to team up with some of the most talented people in the industry to enhance projects and hone your editing and animation skills.

Requirements

You have 2-5 years of experience as an animator or motion graphics artist or editor. Bonus if you do 3D animation. Online portfolio and/or work samples are required for consideration.
You are able to translate briefs and copy into flawless pieces of work.
You’re experienced working in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
You can deliver tight work, even under tight deadlines with an eye for pixel perfection.
You can cut down videos to different lengths and formats while retaining its original spirit.
When it comes to animation, you know how to do the basics right, or break ’em for artistic effect.
You can work independently and excel as part of a team, skillfully sharing your progress, problems and pitfalls with the team alongside your favorite GIFs.
