Social Media Manager - MediaMonks Australia


MediaMonks is looking for a savvy social media magician to manage our rockstar client’s channels and make them sparkle. With hashtags, emojis, and the best organisation skills under your belt, help us elevate our achievements and cultivate our community.

Role & Responsibilities

· You’ll manage all of their social media channels supercharging everything from strategy and content creation to community building and company branding.

· You’ll manage, write and edit original social content spanning newsworthy announcements, (inter)national holidays, and everything in between.

· You’ll get to share a table (and team) with the coolest content and PR Monks, based out of our new Australia office.

· You’ll be responsible for repping our awesome tech client, and capturing their brand and values.

· You’ll collaborate with their communications team to find new angles, niches, and talking points.

· Occasionally, you’ll also lend a hand in writing scripts for video content such as making-ofs and behind-the-scenes that are specifically for socials.


· For this mid-level role, we’re looking for someone with 2+ years of proven experience in social media, PR, or communication, and if not, a convincing reason why we should hire you anyway.

· You are social-media savvy through and through with a good understanding of the Twitter and Twitch platforms, including how you should communicate differently on each.

· You can craft copy for a snappy, win-people-over caption every time.

· You know just how much a # or emoji can make or break a message and the wonderful ways punctuation and capitalisation can dominate your tone of voice.

· You’re equally proficient at trimming a pacy video clip and making the perfect crop.

· Having multiple apps running at once doesn’t make you crash. You keep the bigger picture in mind in everything you do, while also being delighted by the details.

· You are a planning pundit who ensures the message gets out at just the right time, with the initiative to seek out the info you need, even if your contact is across the globe.

· You are organized and well-structured, and know how to make our socials the same.

· You have the confidence and communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders if need be.

· Last but not least, you can work well both independently and within a team.
