Apolosophy: Blowing in the Wind

On behalf of Åkestam Holst, our Stockholm team produced this claim to fame for Swedish pharmacy Apotek Hjärtat. To promote a new line of hair products, Stockholm subway commuters were treated to a mind-blowing special effect. By capturing the turbulence from the trains, the digital ad made it look like the model’s hair was caught by the wind. To achieve this effect, a device was built that included an ultrasonic sensor connected to a Raspberry Pi mini computer and local network socket. This setup could accurately sense the coming and going of trains without being affected by passing commuters.
